We are very sad to report the loss of CH South Streets Deva Las Vegas CD BN RN NAP NAJ THD. February 14, 2007 – May 2, 2017. 10 years ago, seems like yesterday, we picked her up at the Syracuse airport and had to wake her up. She was a good sleeper, but later demanded to be in our bed, under the covers. Deva loved to be with people and was the only Dal we could trust to stay in the yard. She was my wing-dog and would ride in the car all day without a complaint. She was also our first to earn a therapy dog title and enjoyed her visits to Achieve. She left us way too early and will be missed.
Below are a number of photographs that have been sent in. I am thrilled with the way the pups are growing.
Lou: here is Lou at 6 months posing in front our our Christmas tree. He’s about 40 pounds and is halfway through his tumultuous teens puppy class. He’s a great dog and we couldn’t have asked for a better tempered pup. Everyone loves him and thinks he’s beautiful. He’s also been to a nursing home where my grandma lives and he was so calm and gentle. Everyone there adored him! Also, that is our plan with Lou for the future to make him into a therapy dog and bring him to hospitals and nursing homes.
Tucker and Grace are doing very well. Both have completed a puppy training class and a show handling class. In November, they were entered in a 4 to 6 month puppy competition in Syracuse. They got a taste of what dog shows are about. Since they were the only two dalmatians, Tucker was selected Best of Breed and Grace was Best of Opposite Sex. We plan to enter them in local dog shows in March. Between now and then, Tucker will continue in obedience training, Grace in Agility Fundamentals, and both in show handling.
